Description
These 2-inch Hexagons are often used for traditional Grandmother’s Flower Garden (GFG). When you print the shapes on fabric with Inklingo, you can sew this size by hand or by machine, or with English Paper Piecing (EPP).
No templates, no basting—unless you want to baste. On the other hand, there are 8 Good Ways to Use Inklingo for EPP if that is the method you prefer.

I love Hexies and I want to try more of the size patterns in this block! I purchased this block because I wanted a portable project to use all those pieces left over from other projects.

I am having so much fun hand piecing this small quilt top! I can print 16 two inch hexagons from a fat quarter of fabric. The printed lines are so clear and crisp and easy to follow. I am hand piecing a lap size quilt at this time because I am finding it very relaxing to do while watching tv in the evenings. But I find that it would also be very easy to machine piece this size hexagon and it would go together quite quickly.

I am making this – with a little help from my quilt group friends – for next year’s raffle quilt for charity. My friends have watched me work on several Inklingo quilts and they want to try. I chose this size because it goes together quickly and it has straight lines – great for a beginners project.
