Thank you for choosing Inklingo.

Inklingo Shape Collections, Design Books, and other downloadable Inklingo materials are copyrighted works. When you purchase or download an Inklingo product, you are purchasing a license to use it. You are not purchasing the copyright or the right to distribute the files or their contents.

I want you to use Inklingo, enjoy it, make beautiful quilts with it, and tell other quilters about it. This license explains what you may do and the few things I ask you not to do.

PERSONAL USE

Unless another license has been provided, an Inklingo Shape Collection is licensed to one individual quilter for personal use.

You may:

Download and use your licensed Inklingo Shape Collections with Inklingo Quilt Studio.
Print the shapes on fabric as often as you like for your own quilts and other personal projects.
Make as many quilts as you like with Inklingo.
Give away, exhibit, donate, or sell quilts and other finished items you make using Inklingo.
Print paper copies for your own reference and personal use where applicable.
Re-download your licensed collections from your Inklingo account when necessary.

Your Inklingo license is for you. Please do not share your Inklingo files, account access, Shape Collections, or printable shape layouts with another person.

If a friend wants to make the same quilt, I hope you will show them how Inklingo works and encourage them to get their own Shape Collection.

TEACHERS AND CLASSES

We are delighted when teachers introduce quilters to Inklingo.

You may use your licensed Inklingo materials to demonstrate the Inklingo method and show students how Print – Cut – Sew works.

Each student who will be printing Inklingo shapes for a quilt or other project must have their own license for the Shape Collection being used.

A teacher or shop may help a licensed student print their fabric. The important point is that the student who receives the printed shapes has their own license for that Shape Collection.

Please do not use one personal license to print complete sets of shapes for a class or group whose members do not have their own licenses.

QUILT SHOPS — SHOP DEMONSTRATION LICENSE

A quilt shop may receive a special Inklingo Shop Demonstration License for designated Shape Collections.

The Shop Demonstration License belongs to the shop rather than to an individual employee.

Shop staff may use the licensed Shape Collection to:

Learn and practice the Inklingo method.
Give in-store demonstrations.
Make demonstration and display samples.
Print small hands-on samples so customers can experience Inklingo.
Demonstrate printing, cutting, and sewing Inklingo shapes.
Help customers who already own the appropriate Shape Collection print their own fabric.

I want shops to demonstrate Inklingo!

The Shop Demonstration License is intended to make that easy. It does not, however, permit the shop to print complete quilt projects, class sets, or kits for customers or students who do not have their own licenses for the Shape Collection.

The Shop Demonstration License may be used by shop employees and authorized instructors on behalf of the shop. The Shape Collection may not be copied or transferred for their personal use or taken with them if they leave the shop.

PRINTING FOR ANOTHER LICENSED QUILTER

Sometimes a quilter may need help printing fabric.

A shop, teacher, designer, or other person may provide a printing service for a quilter who already owns a license for the Shape Collection being printed.

This allows someone to help with the printing without transferring or sharing the Inklingo Shape Collection itself.

PRINTED KITS AND COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION

A personal license or Shop Demonstration License does not include permission to manufacture or sell kits containing fabric pre-printed with Inklingo shapes for customers who do not have their own licenses for the Shape Collection.

If you are a designer, teacher, shop, manufacturer, or other business interested in offering pre-printed Inklingo kits or another commercial use, please contact Inklingo.

We are happy to discuss arrangements that make sense for everyone.

COPYRIGHT AND SHARING

Inklingo Shape Collections, Design Books, illustrations, layouts, instructions, and other original materials are protected by copyright.

Please do not:

Copy or distribute Inklingo files to other people.
Upload Inklingo files to websites, file-sharing services, groups, forums, or other shared locations.
Email or otherwise send Shape Collections to someone else.
Share account access so another person can download your licensed products.
Extract or reproduce Inklingo printable layouts for distribution.
Sell, sublicense, or redistribute Inklingo digital products.
Use a personal or Shop Demonstration License to produce printed quilt shapes or kits for unlicensed customers.

You are welcome to share photos of your quilts and works in progress made with Inklingo. I love it when quilters show other quilters what they are making.

FREE INKLINGO MATERIALS

Inklingo products offered at no charge are still copyrighted and licensed.

Please feel free to tell others where they can download the free materials for themselves. Rather than distributing copies, please direct them to Inklingo so they can obtain their own copy.

OWNERSHIP

Inklingo materials remain the intellectual property of Linda Franz/Inklingo.

Purchasing or downloading an Inklingo product gives you permission to use it under this license. It does not transfer ownership of the copyright, trademarks, software, illustrations, printable layouts, or other intellectual property.

INKLINGO QUILT STUDIO

Inklingo Quilt Studio is provided to make licensed Inklingo Shape Collections easier to use.

Your use of Quilt Studio does not change the license associated with an Inklingo Shape Collection. A personal Shape Collection remains licensed to the individual quilter. A Shop Demonstration License remains licensed to the participating shop.

COMMON SENSE

Inklingo has always depended on the goodwill of quilters.

The basic idea is simple:

If you own the Shape Collection, print and quilt with it as much as you like.

If someone else wants to use it, they should get their own license.

If you are a shop, teacher, or designer and want to do something beyond these permissions, please ask.

I would much rather find a way to say yes than make this complicated.

Special arrangements may be available for shops, teachers, designers, authors, manufacturers, and other commercial users.

AGREEMENT

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Inklingo materials, you agree to the terms of this license.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
