The Case of the Secret Garden Inspiration and Summation

Several quilters have already solved the Inklingo Case of the Secret Garden mystery but it is not too late to start one of your own.

Today we have

  • some beautiful examples to inspire you
  • a one-page printing summary and
  • some important reminders!

Charlsey's COTSG

The New York Wheel block for Charlsey’s COTSG was especially appropriate considering the family story she shared at Nonnie’s Cedar Chest.

Charlsey has several fabulous Inklingo quilts on her blog. Don’t miss her Feathered Star and Sunflower quilts!

Laura's COTSG

Laura in Washington has done a lot of inklingoing too and has a great blog at LC’s Cottage. Don’t you love the purple accents?

Laura used Inklingo to make Bonnie Hunter’s Orca Bay mystery too.

Cathi's COTSG

I’m just giving you a sneak peek of Cathi’s COTSG blocks from Quilt Obsession this time. You’ll have to come back to see the whole quilt top, okay?

There is a new short-form summary of the shapes to print on fabric with Inklingo for the COTSG mystery.

If you ever design your own quilts, you might find this summary useful before you are ready to prepare a full Cheat Sheet.

Print on fabric with Inklingo!

This is a mystery quilt but there is not any suspense about whether your blocks will fit together because the cutting and sewing lines are printed on the fabric!

  1. These are so beautiful. It inspired me to purchase the New York Wheel collection. No I just need to unearth my inkjet printer from under a mount of fabric.

  2. The Summation Sheet is wonderful, Linda! Thank you for putting it together.
My COTSG is not as far along as I hoped; the flu got in my way and slowed me down. My color/fabric choices will make my version very different from those I’ve seen so far. I will share it when more of it is together.
Thank you and Monkey for a fun mystery! I will put my quilt up on my blog later when the “wind is back in my sails”.

  3. Thank you for such an enjoyable mystery Linda! And thank you for showing off my version! Although I’ve traveled through Oregon quite a bit, I’ve never lived there. I live in the very northeastern corner of Washington state…about a 40 minute drive to the Canadian border. 🙂
