Clamshell Pickle 9 inch PDF
US$30.00
Print on fabric for better results than with clamshell acrylic templates for this beautiful, unusual Clamshell Pickle 9-inch design.
Sew this size by hand or machine or both (hybrid). It is fabulous with or without fussy cutting.
Description
The Clamshell Pickle 9-inch design is so unusual that Barbara Brackman called it “Unknown Pattern” on the Material Culture blog. Of course, Inklingo quilters asked for it right away! They knew they could get wonderful results if they had Inklingo’s precise stitching lines and matching marks.
Sew by hand with “continuous stitching” while you relax in front of the TV. Then you can machine piece the rest, so you can finish fast!

INSPIRATION I first saw this block on Barbara Brackman’s blog, Material Culture as “Unknown Pattern.” I could not resist!
You can finish with straight edges with partial hexagons.
It is fun to sew these with Inklingo because everything fits perfectly, presses well, and lies flat.
You can hand piece or machine piece this size.
“I love the Inklingo method. I am trying to get two Inklingo quilts finished in time for our upcoming quilt show in February. Having two projects in the works (I really have about 5) keeps me from getting bored.” Pati in Arizona

There are wonderful opportunities for fussy cutting with TWO Inklingo methods and you can get perfect points (above). The cutting and sewing are simpler with the fine, precise lines printed on the fabric.
I designed the layouts to use fabric efficiently, so you can do most of the cutting with a rotary cutter. You can choose regular and combo layouts.
Love the lines. Quilt more!
Relax and sew! Spend your time stitching, not getting ready to stitch. Print the cutting and stitching lines on scraps from your stash.
If you are new to Inklingo, I strongly recommend starting with the free Diamond Triangle Square shape collection. It includes the first chapter of The Inklingo Handbook and some great shapes to print on fabric to get you started.

At least some of the cutting can be done with a rotary cutter (red lines above).

When I saw this design mentioned in a blog as an unusual and unknown pattern, I knew the only way to make this would be with Inklingo. The design collection was ready in an amazingly short time.

The 9 inch Clamshell Pickle Pattern done with InkLingo is an absolute delight! I am using the hybrid method of machine and hand piecing to make my quilt called “Clammed Up With Pickled Joy.” It is going together quite smoothly.
