Clamshell Pickle 6 inch PDF

Print on fabric for better results than with clamshell acrylic templates for this beautiful, unusual Clamshell Pickle 6-inch design.
Sew this size by hand or machine or both (hybrid). It is fabulous with or without fussy cutting.
Description
The Clamshell Pickle 6-inch design is so unusual that Barbara Brackman called it “Unknown Pattern” on the Material Culture blog. Of course, Inklingo quilters asked for it right away! They knew they could get wonderful results if they had Inklingo’s precise stitching lines and matching marks.
The arcs are ideal for “continuous stitching” by hand while you watch TV, and then you can machine piece the rest for a fast finish.

INSPIRATION I first saw this block on Barbara Brackman’s blog, Material Culture as “Unknown Pattern.”
The half-clamshells allow you to finish the edges.
Sewing with Inklingo is more fun because everything fits perfectly, presses well, and lies flat.
If you like machine piecing: The arcs are great for chain piecing, and curves by machine have never been easier, thanks to the stitching lines and matching marks printed on the fabric with Inklingo.
If you like hand piecing: The arcs are ideal for a portable project because they allow for continuous stitching by hand. Follow the instructions to move from one seam to the next without breaking the thread.

There are wonderful opportunities for fussy cutting with TWO Inklingo methods and you can get perfect points (above). The fine, precise lines printed on the fabric simplify the cutting and sewing.
The shapes are laid out to use fabric efficiently and most of the cutting can be done with a rotary cutter. There is a choice of regular and combo layouts.
Love the lines. Quilt more!
Relax and sew! Spend your time stitching, not getting ready to stitch. Print the cutting and stitching lines on scraps from your stash.
If you are new to Inklingo, I strongly recommend starting with the free Diamond Triangle Square shape collection. It includes the first chapter of The Inklingo Handbook and some great shapes to print on fabric to get you started.

Making these is so addictive that I think I’ll need a 12-step program to stop!! Inklingo makes what would be a difficult block a very simple and extremely enjoyable one to stitch!
