Jackie made my day yesterday. She printed on fabric for the first time.
Hello Linda
What can I say, what an incredible product you have brought to the quilting world.
I am not at all computer savvy and it took me a week to work out how Adobe worked but tonight I have printed my first sheet of shapes, ta da
and I felt the need to share with you and am singing the Jimmy Cliff song – ‘I can see clearly now’.
Thank you
Jackie

Thank you, Jackie, especially for allowing me to share this online.
I often hear from quilters who are delighted with their first experience with Inklingo.
Some even include a photo.
Very few include musical accompaniment. Jackie made me sing!
I am excited for Jackie because “The Best is Yet to Come.”
We have new lyrics for the first time you print on fabric.
(Click to play and sing along with me and Jackie.)
Out of the tree of life, I just picked me a plum
Out of Inklingo’s shop, I just picked the freebies
You came along and everything started to hum
Lin came along and made printing look easy
Still, it’s a real good bet, the best is yet to come
The best is yet to come, babe, won’t it be fine
You think you’ve seen the sun but you ain’t seen it shine
You think you’ve quilted before but you ain’t had a line
Wait till the warm-up’s underway, wait till our lips have met
Wait till the printing’s underway, wait till your first stars shine
Wait till you see that sunshine place, ain’t nothin’ like it here
Wait till you see that fabric print, you’re gonna love the lines
The best is yet to come and babe, won’t it be fine
The best is yet to come and babe, here is a hint
The best is yet to come, come the day you’re mine
The best is yet to come, the best is yet to come, come the day you’ll print
Come the day you’re mine, I’m gonna teach you to fly
Come the day you’ll try, I’m gonna teach you to print
We’ve only tasted the wine, we’re gonna drain the cup dry
You’ve only printed a test, we’re gonna go custom size
Wait till your charms are right for these arms to surround
Wait till your skills are right for your first stars to shine
You think you’ve flown before but you ain’t left the ground
You think you’ve sewn before but you ain’t had the lines
Wait till you’re locked in my embrace, wait till I draw you near
Wait till you print a custom size, wait till you print on dark
Wait till you see that sunshine place, ain’t nothin’ like it here
Wait till you print that next fabric, ain’t never going back
The best is yet to come and Tony, won’t it be fine
The best is yet to come and Tony, let’s share a hint
Diana, the best is yet to come, come the day you’re mine
Diana, the best is yet to come, come the day you’ll print
Wait till your charms are right for these arms to surround
Wait till your skills are right for your first stars to shine
You think you’ve flown before but you ain’t left the ground
You think you’ve sewn before but you ain’t had the lines
Wait till you’re locked in my embrace, wait till I draw you near
Wait till you print a custom size, wait till you print on dark
Wait till you see that sunshine place, ain’t nothin’ like it here
Wait till you print that next fabric, ain’t never going back
Are YOU ready to print on fabric?
The best is yet to come and babe, let’s share a hint
The best is yet to come, come the day you’ll print
Come the day you’ll print, come the day you’ll print
Come the day you’ll print
Please share your photos and let me know. There is a lot of great info on the website but if you have questions, please ask. There is usually a simple answer and it could save you some time.
If you haven’t ordered the free shape collection yet, you should. I’ll send you a free fabric sample printed with Inklingo too! (USA and Canada)
The Best Is Yet To Come, Jackie. Thank you!
I clearly remember my first set of shapes on fabric, printed from the old Set 1 CD!
It was magical then and still is now!
Thanks again, Linda, for this wonderful product.
You were one of the first quilters to print with Inklingo “in the olden days” and I’m glad you were. You have always been very supportive and encouraging. Thank you, Karen!
I remember printing the first sheet of a shape from the first Inklingo CD still quite vividly. I’ve never looked back, nor have I ever stopped printing shapes on fabric. No wonder you got a patent for Inklingo – it’s brilliant and makes quilting more fun and definitely makes it easier to make perfect blocks every time!!
Thanks to Quilted Diamonds, you were on to Inklingo on the very first day in 2006. I am very happy that quilting brought us together. You are a wonderful friend.
