MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Welcome to the Electric Quilt Christmas Countdown on the All About Inklingo blog.

There are FOUR Christmas presents—and everyone gets at least one!
*
ONE . . . FREE EQ7 PROJECT FOR EVERYONE
“Inklingo Christmas Rings” Downloadable Electric Quilt Project File
for Inklingo Double Wedding Ring.
Download from the EQ blog.
The Inklingo Double Wedding Ring Design Book is at least a $20 value but it is free for the next two weeks. Merry Christmas!
Normally the design book is free when you buy Inklingo DWR shapes to print on fabric but if you order between now and December 31, you can download the design book free.
Design with a variety of Inklingo arcs!*
- an arc that is all one piece
- an arc with one piece plus two arc ends
- an arc with four pieces plus two arc ends
- an arc with 8 pieces plus two arc ends
- Pickle Dish
These blocks are included in another free EQ7 project file under the EQ tab (above).
NOTE My EQ blocks are adequate for design purposes, but would not be accurate for templates. I use Inklingo to print the shapes on fabric, so I do not worry about ultra-precision when I design in EQ.
The Inklingo Double Wedding Ring Design Book does not include the shapes to print on fabric, but it does include everything you need to know to Design, Print, Cut and Sew a Double Wedding Ring quilt:
- notes about all the variations
- fabric selection
- rotary cutting tips
- strategies for fussy cutting
- design notes AND how to count the shapes
- fabric requirements for many quilt sizes
- hand piecing instructions
- machine piecing instructions, including my favorite precision tips
- detailed, step-by-step assembly instructions
- an innovative pressing guide
- pressing instructions that might surprise you, but make your quilt look its best
- notes about finishing with a straight or curved edge
- worksheets
There are sample pages of the design book on the website.
The design book works even if you don’t have EQ7. Of course, it is even more fun with EQ.
If you are an Inklingo quilter, you already know how much faster and easier it is to sew Double Wedding Ring with Inklingo than it was in the olden days with templates!
50 designs in only 2 minutes! Click on the video to play.
The shapes for all of the designs in the video can be printed on fabric with Inklingo!
No matter how complicated your EQ DWR design looks, you can get beautiful results with the cutting and stitching lines printed on the fabric with Inklingo.
Confidence. A wonderful thing. Let your artistic vision come to life!

You can sew Double Wedding Ring by hand or by machine or a bit of both.

Thanks so much Linda and Monkey for the opportunity to win these nice gifts. I just love Inklingo and having a blast with the Lucy Boston POTC blocks. Handsewing after more than 20 years and loving every minute of it! Would be a wonderful Christmas with $50 to spend on Inklingo products. WOW! Start the new year off with a bang!!! Merry Christmas to you and Monkey.
Merry christmas to you. Thanks for the free design book and for the chances to win.
Thank you for the gifts and the chance to win more. I got EQ7 for Christmas last year and have only played with it a few times. Hopefully your website and blog will help me learn more and produce some great projects.
You must have been in my studio. The wedding ring is on my list of quilts to do next year. I thank you for your Christmas Rings. I love how you can print your pattern on fabric. This make it easy to machine or hand piece. Well done!
Happy Christmas Linda and thank you so much.
I love Inklingo and I love fabric too lol. Thanks for your help during the year.
I haven’t done much sewing this year due to family illness and moving house so 2015 is definitely going to be my big year.
All the best for Christmas and the new year.
Wow, these are great. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Oh my goodness both of these would be wonderful Christmas presents to receive. Love, Love, Love Inklingo!!!! Thanks so much.
I love seeing all the projects with inklingo.
thank you for the free projects and chance to win. that is great. Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas indeed! Thank you Linda, for your most generous giveaway and the opportunity to win some awesome products here. I’ve never made a double wedding ring quilt because it seems to difficult to do. Would love the chance to do so with your patterns. The Northcott fabric is gorgeous. Thank you for the free pattern. Best holiday wishes to you and yours.
Dear Linda & Monkey,
Merry Christmas and thank you so much for your generous gifts!! During the past year I’ve purchased a few shape collections and books, but haven’t used them to make anything yet. I just finished a Christmas quilt last night for my sister that I’ve been working on for two years!! (I’m kind of slow). Now I’m excited to finally move on to something different. I love Dresden Plate, so will probably make a small project with that shape collection. After all, it was the red & white Dresden designs you posted last year that first caught my eye and led me to Inklingo! Again, thanks for all of the inspiration that you provide to us!!
Love,
Gail
Thank you, your material will be beautiful in the wedding ring quilt that I would like to make next year. Your give away is just awesome. Merry Christmas. Monkey & Linda
We will try again and see if I respond and comment in the correct spot this time. I have fingers and toes crossed hoping to win the certificate so I can buy some shapes have always wanted the EQ programs but until now I had too many teenagers sharing a computer and downloading their junk. Now no teenagers and need new computer lol someday it will all come together.
I love inklingo! Shared your information in a class I took…Merry Christmas!
EQ7 is on my wish list. The red and green fabrics are luscious. Would love to win the gift certificate too.
Thank you for the free gifts today.
Thank you for the EQ7 and double Wedding Ring downloads as well as the wonderful giveaways. Hope you’re having a great holiday season.
Would love to win the fabrics or the gift certificate! I’m not picky!! 🙂
I have always dreamed of making a DWR quilt but have been hesitant due to having to use small acrylic templates to cut all those pieces. With Inklingo, I think it’s Do-Able for me.
Would love to win that Northcott fabric collection! The $50 gift certificate would be wonderful, too. Thanks for the freebies and giveaways, Linda.
Thank you Linda for the EQ7 file and for all of your Inklingo publications. Thanks for your ready help for questions and for tempting us with so many beautiful possibilities! Merry Christmas!
I love Double Wedding Ring quilts! I have the templates to make one, but I’m sure it will be a lot easier with Inklingo! Thanks!
I have never tried Inklingo so I’m hoping to win to try it out. Thanks for your awesome giveaways! Merry Christmas!
Love double wedding ring projects. Several years ago I completed a table topper size using paper piecing method & am in the process of hand quilting it. This seems much easier as well as less messy than paper piecing. Hadn’t heard about Inklingo before but am interested in trying it. Thanks for the pattern as well as the other draws.

Thank you for the free DWR idea book and the chance to win some prizes. I just wish I could keep up with you, Linda. When I finish the 9″ star blocks, and the Waltzing Mathilda’s, maybe I’ll get to DWR.
My daughter in law has been dying for a double wedding ring quilt, now that I have found inklingo she may get one. Thanks for all you do. I love Waltzing Matilda as well.
Looks like fun! Thank you for offering the design book.
This is case of “thank goodness I didn’t try my Double Wedding Ring Quilt yet!”. I am a newbie quilter who constantly runs before… 🙂
Your wonderful method will surely make my first attempt a success. Any prize would be a wonderful surprise, so fingers crossed (but not at the sewing machine!)
Never heard of Inklingo, would love to know more about it. Thank you for the pattern.
I love the idea for double wedding ring quilts and look forward to using in conjunction with EQ7. Thanks.
How exciting, thanks for the chance to win. I would love the fabrics or a gift certificate. The countdown is near! 🙂
I just love Inklingo. My daughter wants a double wedding ring quilt so I want to hand piece one for her and this will make it so much easier.!!!
I made several small DWR projects years ago and would love to make a large DWR quilt but the only way I would consider doing that is with Inklingo. When it comes to curved piecing nothing beats Inklingo. Thanks for the oportunity to win another Inklingo collection and that gorgeous Northcott fabric.
What a great idea, love the double wedding ring for Christmas! I would be sew grateful if I won the gift certificate. Happy Holidays to everyone and thank you Linda for your wonderful ideas!
My sister-in-law and I have been working together to make quilts for my grandchildren using Inklingo products. Am pretty sure I wouldn’t have attempted the quilts without Inklingo. Thanks so much!
I don’t have any Inklingo products…yet 🙂 Thank you for the download!
I am working on a pickle dish quilt with Inklingo. Goes together like a dream….would never attempt it any other way!!
So great to see ‘You’ on the EQ blog today, thanks for the Wedding Ring download. Something else to add to my list of ‘I want to do’s’ with Inklingo.
Beautiful quilts. I don’t have any inklingo products, but would love to try them.
What a beautiful Christmas quilt! I think Inklingo is the only way to make a double wedding ring. The accuracy of the lines takes the guess work and worry out of making this pattern. Thank you Linda!
Oh how I would love to try the wedding ring quilt. With inklingo I know it would be easy. Might even use those christmas give away fabrics. Thank you Linda for your hard work.
Thank you for the wonderful opportunities, Linda. Double Wedding Ring is my next choice in a quilt. l will definitely be using Inklingo! I am just beginning to hand-sew a .75 hexagon quilt using Inklingo. I love how easy this is! Please tell Monkey how grateful he gave us an extra day on the Waltzing Matilda block. He is a sweet softie!
Take care,
Emily
Hi Linda! I cannot thank you enough for this opportunity! Your inklingo is saving some of my sanity over the next few days. Traveling and long flights to come but I’m busy as ever right now printing up my fabrics to take along. Thank you for everything you do for us!
Thank you for the chance to win such fantastic prizes. Also thanks for explaining about Inklingo and will be checking out the blog further. Thaks
Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter your Christmas drawings.
BTW, I saw some posts on a quilting board about what would be the easiest way to do a Joseph’s Coat quilt. Of course I mentioned Inklingo’s version, because it looks like the easiest method to me!
Double Wedding Ring quilts are so special — and, thanks to Inklingo, so easy to make now. The perfect stitching lines and matching points make this design an absolute breeze to make!
I would love to win the fabric or a gift certificate. Those are absolutely stunning green and reds!
I have made one throw size and one wall hanging using the Double Wedding Ring pattern. It has always seemed as the ultimate challenge in quilting, but it can be done. This looks like a much easier method, and the design book is stimulating this ol’ brain this morning.
I recently found a quilt shop fairly close that has Northcott fabrics and they are wonderful. Even if I’m not chosen to win, the “starter” for ideas is prize enough. Thank you.
I bought templates for my double wedding ring and I am having a hard time with the pattern. I can’t wait to try the Inklingo DWR!
Great ideas!
Thank you for all the ideas and the method to do them. It is no wonder that nothing gets finished.
So much to do with Inklingo.

I love double wedding ring quilts and have made two queen size and one mini by hand – years before I heard of Inklingo – now to know how much easier it would have been then cutting templates and tracing around them for sewing lines!! You have made life much easier Linda 🙂 I would love to win the fabric or one of the gift certificates – what a great present!
