Add Hexagons to the New Inklingo Diamonds

MORE  PIECED HEXAGONS

In my last message, I showed you some of the pieced hexagons which can be made with the 4 shapes in the new 1.5-inch Inklingo Diamond shape collection.

This time, we’ve stepped it up a notch and added the shapes from the 1.5-inch Hexagon shape collection.

Inklingo PIeced Hexagons

Isn’t it incredible? Simple shapes, Inklingo, unlimited imagination.

Inklingo Diamonds and Hexagons to print on fabric

As you can see, the pieced hexagon has 3-inch sides (finished) and is 6 inches across from point to point.

How big is that?

3 inch hexagons are 6 inches from point to point

It might be bigger than you think. The pieced hexagons are about the same size as a large soup saucer. (When 6 diamonds are added to the purple star, it will be bigger than the saucer.)

Even more Inklingo pieced Hexagons

We had a ball designing these, but we’ve barely scratched the surface. When you reverse the light and dark and swap shapes in and out, it gets even more exciting!

HAND PIECING? MACHINE PIECING?

—OR BOTH!

When you buy Inklingo hexagons to print on fabric, you also receive the Inklingo Hexagon Quilt Design Book (PDF download, $20 value). (There are three ways to get it free. We’re so flexible it’s confusing!)

The design book includes everything you need to know about hexagons PLUS instructions for hand piecing, machine piecing, and “hybrid” piecing.

This video includes my best tips for machine piecing inset seams.

  1. This is very inspiring. I have always been a little scared to do hexagons but with this I think my fears have become a lot less. The variations you have are amazing. The monkey is real cute and so is the cup and saucer.

  2. All I can say is “Wow”, I need to have these printed in a book so I can go over them again and again! They look almost like some of the patterns that are in the “Toes in the Sand” quilt…and I love it!!! By the way, Monkey looks like he’s had his cheek pinched a few times in the photo, he is just so darn cute! I see another project in my future!

You have given me the shakes thinking of these combinations with my other candies.
I have to go lay down now.

  4. You are tempting me to jump on the Candied Hexagons bandwagon with all these layouts! What fun could be had with all these fun layouts! I have a feeling trying to resist this is going to be futile!
