Do you have enough fabric? It is important!
I was able to determine that I could get all of the shapes I needed from one fat quarter of this fabric, which was good because that was all I had.
The printing goes fast, so you can have stacks of hexagons ready to sew on the go.
Always be sewing!
Sew some seams by machine to get a fast start…
…and finish the top by hand. It only took a few evenings in front of the TV.
A hybrid has some seams sewn by hand and some by machine, for the best of both worlds, as shown in this POTC video.
