Add one or two rings of “Farmer’s Fancy” triangles to any 9 inch plate for 12 or 15 inch blocks.

You might not have heard of Farmer’s Delight or Farmer’s Fancy before. It is spectacular but it has never been a common block because it is difficult to cut and sew—until Inklingo.

The 12 inch block has one ring of triangles and the 15 inch block has two rings of triangles (top).

Choice of Methods – Hand or Machine Piecing

I designed this shape collection for quilters who prefer to piece as much as possible, so the only appliqué is the circle in the middle (choice of sizes). I included a stunning variety of blades too—even a curved blade.

You can even mix two or three blade shapes in each plate.

You can piece the plates to curved background shapes and know that you can center the plate perfectly every time.

All of the methods are illustrated in the design book (74 pages). There is no charge for it with this shape collection.

Print Dresden Plate blades on fabric and sew by hand or by machine.

Love the lines. Quilt more!

You will be happy with the results you get with sewing lines and matching marks printed on the fabric.

You can have it all.

If you order the Appliqué collection and the Fancy Pieced collection, you will have it all! (The Fancy Pieced collections includes everything in the Basic Pieced collection.)

“I am amazed at what all Linda has included in the Dresden Plate Fancy collection. You think when you are ordering a collection that you are just getting some templates that your printer will print onto fabric. But you get so much more; so much that you are totally in awe at what all she has thought to include to help you in your choices. I was surprised before with other collections but I am still surprised to find what she has included.” – Nancy in Indiana

Get the Design Book first?

There is no charge for the Inklingo Dresden Plate Quilt Design Book (PDF, 74 pages) when you buy a Dresden Plate or Grand Desert shape collection.

Some quilters like to buy the design book first to see the instructions and help them decide which size they prefer.

I just purchased the Fancy Pieced Collection on Monday and have designed a table runner and have the fabric printed already. I’m so excited and can’t wait to start sewing.

I ordered this Dresden plate fancy piece combo collection last month and I am eager to start it. I have looked through all the pieces and the pictures and now I am almost ready to start designing my quilt. I look forward to getting started. There are so many different ways to put these blocks together – so many different looks are included. I would recommend this set to everyone!

  3. Missy (verified owner)

I have this collection and it is so easy to print and stitch these seemingly complicated blocks! Everyone will ooh and ahhh over them and Linda has done all the hard work for us.

  4. Kathy (verified owner)

Lots of design choices I never imagined!

  5. Theresa (verified owner)

I love Dresden plates and this collection opened up so many new possibilities that I’d never even heard of before. To have the option of piecing as well as applique is wonderful.

I have made only one of these blocks…the 15″ Fancy Pieced one. It printed and cut out with ease, and the pieces fitted perfectly. This is definitely one I would never have done if it hadn’t been for Inklingo. The variations in his package are really great. Such a variety its hard to choose which one to do!

I got this collection when it first came out. The pictures that were going up on the Yahoo list were so inspiring. I made a Farmer’s Fancy block completely by machine!!! The sewing lines make is so easy.
Inklingo is for hand and machine piecers, or you can combine both methods in one block. Linda’s instructions tell you how to do everything.

This collection makes so many variations of Dresden Plates easily achievable that it’s an absolute must. Making the Farmer’s Delight blocks is something I absolutely would not have tackled without it. With Inklingo? It’s simple as can be!

  9. Charlsey (verified owner)

Dresden plate with a flair! This block looks very difficult and one that I wasn’t sure I wanted to tackle. With Inklingo it was so easy and fast. There were no templates to fumble with and my stitching was precise. A much improved method over the last plain Dresden plate I made years ago. Oh! and even better than that when I ordered, I got the FREE Dresden Plate Design Book!

This is one of my absolute favorite Inklingo collections, and I am not even fond of Dresden Plates!
