There is so much you can do with the new New York Beauty blocks!

Here are a few border designs that I would love to use.

This zigzag version of NYB02 would make a great frame for Inklingo appliqué or some fancy quilting, don’t you think? Maybe something soft and curvy?

I think border designs are fascinating.

Monkey thinks I am obsessed.

Yes, I do love the zigzag effect—and the best thing is that whatever I design, I know I can sew it with the cutting and stitching lines printed on the fabric with Inklingo!

I am intrigued by the winding brown path, and would like to emphasize it even more.

  • several more NYB designs (not borders)
  • a project file for NYB 02 for Electric Quilt, so you can design your own variations

  3. I just LOVE your designs, Linda!!!!

    Absolutely jaw-dropping!

And Patti wrote about plain borders. I had never thought of that perspective and will certainly strive to do no more “plain borders”…. Tks Patti, too, for your thoughts on this. *grin*

  4. The NYB blocks really do justice to borders, my pet peeve is a wide plain border with no life to it… Its almost like people just run out of time or ideas to make the border as nice as the rest of the quilt top…

  5. I am always in awe when people do just as much thought and piecing in the border as in the body of the quilt.
Thanks again for some great inspiration

  6. WOW – I love these! I am hoping to play some this weekend, if I can get the rest of life to back off for a bit lol. Enjoy the weekend!

  7. What a nifty way to border a quilt top! In the beginning stages it’s very portable. Thanks for making something that looks complicated relatively simple to do.
