Inklingo Circle of Hearts in Electric Quilt

I just noticed that no one has included Circle of Hearts in their Electric Quilt designs for the Inklingo contest!

????  Perhaps the instructions were not clear? Or maybe you were looking for a little help, like an EQ5 project file?

It’s a great idea to include Inklingo appliqué shapes in your designs for the contest. They are the most flexible because Inklingo allows you to print back-basting layouts or templates on the fabric in any size from about 3 x 3 inches.

Print Appliqué Outlines on the Fabric

If you print Inklingo appliqué blocks in quarters for back-basting with an ordinary Inkjet printer, the block could be up to 16 inches (finished). That’s big! If you have a wide-format printer, it could even be 24 inches.

For the contest, you can also use appliqué blocks to align with pieced blocks if they have turned out to be an odd size (6.36, 9.4, etc.)  Very, very flexible!

San Kamon by Scarlett Rose is another beautiful Inklingo appliqué design.

Inklingo provides designs as whole blocks and quarters for maximum flexibility. You can see what else is included in the free Inklingo shape collection in the next few minutes. It’s waiting for you to download.

Circle of Hearts

Many quilters think of Inklingo as the best-ever way to sew pieced blocks (hand and machine) but don’t realize how fabulous it is for appliqué.

To get your attention, we made Circle of Hearts FREE. <gasp>

Inklingo for Appliqué

Get great results by hand or by machine with lines printed on the fabric.

There are back-basting tips on the website, and a whole chapter on appliqué in The Inklingo Handbook too, including wonderful instructions for back-basting. (Can you tell it’s my fav method?)

For the contest, in addition to Inklingo shapes (pieced or appliqué), you can include rectangles and squares.

Electric Quilt and Inklingo should keep off the streets this weekend, don’t you think? LOL If you have questions or need help, just let us know, okay? We aren’t going to cook for you, but you can probably stay alive on chocolate and quilting dreams for a few days.

Here’s the link to the free EQ5 file again—CLICK. (Opens with EQ5, EQ6, EQ7, EQ8.)

There is still a chance for you to win one of the great prizes!
