Yes! We needed a new size.
I published the 2 inch Apple Core shape collection more than 10 years ago in January 2009. How time flies!
Several quilters asked for a larger size, so here it is!
As you know, Inklingo shapes are named with the FINISHED size. Apple Core is measured this way too but it is not the length of the edge, as it is in other cases.
Apple Core templates are not named with the length either.
The difference between 2 and 3 inch Apple Core shapes is quite dramatic.
One of the things I found most intriguing was using these shapes for fussy cutting. (Can you tell that Lucy Boston has had a huge influence on me!)
I’m going to do a few short videos to introduce everyone to ways to use this shape, including for borders on any quilt with a straight edge.
If you want to be notified when a new video is introduced, please subscribe to the blog.
Everything is easier when you print the shapes on fabric. Inklingo really is the quilting tool we’ve always wanted.
The new shape collection includes complete instructions for rotary cutting curves, sewing curves by hand, sewing curves by machine, and pressing for success.
The low-low intro price only lasts a few days this time, so have a look today so you won’t be disappointed.

If you have been following Inklingo, you know I don’t do “sales” but whenever I introduce a new shape collection, I keep it at a LOW price for the first few days. This is a way of rewarding you for your loyalty because only Inklingo quilters are likely to know about it.
It took me a few days longer than I planned to get this ready. Monkey blames it on the view from my desk. I want to enjoy my time outside before winter sets in and all this gorgeous color is gone.
Please come back for more about Apple Core.

No wonder your quilts and patterns are so gorgeous. With inspiration like that from your office window, only joyful art can possibly come forth.
What a beautiful compliment, Colleen. Thank you very much.
Oh yay! This is a better size for kids’ novelty fabrics, too!
You are so right. It is a great size for novelty fabrics AND kids.
I am interested in purchasing the “Apple Core” quilt pattern?
Hi Vicki, I’m glad you are interested. Please see this page. https://www.inklingo.com/shop/shapes-with-curves/13/product/apple-core-templates/244
Beautiful!
I’m glad you like it, Dorothy. I am mesmerized.
Beautiful view, tell monkey the few inspires you! Love the apple core!
Thank you, Mary! I’m glad you like it too.
I can see why you’ve been distracted.
The weather has been so good this year that I could not resist being outside. I think the fall color is better this year too. Sometimes there is more yellow and not as much red and orange.
