There is a new inklingo shape collection with the templates for Raindrops Are Falling On My Head, one of the wonderful quilts in Millefiori Quilts 4 by Willyne Hammerstein.
Millefiori Quilts 4 just keeps on giving.
Several quilters asked for Raindrops Are Falling on My Head, another fabulous new design by Willyne Hammerstein. (Photo courtesy of Quiltmania.)
The new Raindrops shape collection is ready for you now!
More amazing fussy cutting.
Simple shapes, amazing results!
OF COURSE, THERE IS MUSIC TOO
Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head seems appropriate, don`t you think?
Raindrops are falling on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothing seems to fit
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling
Perfect music, except that with Inklingo, everything seems to fit.
I have used music to introduce several shape collections from Millefiori Quilts 4:
- Fiesta Gitana – La Bamba
- Confetti – Chapel of Love
- Swinging Old Lady – The Lady is a Tramp
- You Are My Sunshine – Johnny Cash
- Last Flowers – Did you ever have to make up your mind?
- Les Fruits de Mer – Frim Fram Sauce (for Seafood)
What a fabulous border!
Elegant.
TEMPLATES FOR RAINDROPS ARE FALLING ON MY HEAD
This is another design that is perfect for Inklingo No Waste Fussy Cutting OR Inklingo Traditional Fussy Cutting.
The new videos for Patchwork of the Crosses also apply to the designs in the Millefiori Quilts books.
UPDATE I included very detailed instructions for two methods of fussy cutting in the new hardcover book, Winding Ways – Quilting the Inklingo Way. All of the info about fussy cutting, hand and machine piecing, and fabric requirements in my new book is useful for ANY pieced design. I recommend it to everyone, so I hope you will have a look.
Sew with a running stitch for the most precise results.
(There are 8 Good Ways to Use Inklingo for EPP too.)
As usual, there is a choice of layouts to print on fabric (20 colors) or on paper or freezer paper.
LEARN TO HAND PIECE WITH THE DVD LESSON
Quilted Diamonds 2 is a great way to learn about hand piecing, especially because it includes a two-hour DVD lesson.
Willyne’s assembly instructions for 19 designs are included in this one—but you don’t need acrylic or papers. (Why I don’t sell acrylic templates.)
NEW – UPDATED MAIN MILLEFIORI PAGE (UNDER THE SHOP TAB)
I have spent the past few days working on the website too. There is a major update to the Main Millefiori Page to include several more designs that can be made with Inklingo even though they do not have their own named shape collections.
They each have their own page with photos and descriptions now.
You may not have realized that you can make these with Inklingo!
- Be Calm and Count to Ten (book 2)
- Christmas Stars (1)
- Fete de l’Aioli (1)
- Garden of Forgetfulness (2)
- Jeu de Boules (4)

Linda & Monkey
sew many wonderful possibilities. Sew little time
What a wealth of possibilities!! The border of Raindrops is fabulously appealing and now all the other quilts for which we can use various Inklingo collections? Wow! I know which one I want to make next.
Loved that song and the clip from the movie – I’m still grinning after watching it.
Thank you, Cathi. That is a fun movie, isn’t it? It’s hard to believe it was made over 50 years ago—-when we were all young! 🙂
Hello Ladies,
I hope you are all well. Linda this is a beautiful quilt. I love the contrasts in the colors.
Thank you for the new collection.
Stay safe in your neck of the woods, in Ontario the virus is over the roof. In Quebec where getting more and more sick people.
In the U.S.A. I know that you have much more sick people than us in Canada.
I wish you all to stay well and safe. God Bless.
Louise
Thank you for your message, Louise. Faites attention et restez bien!
