Drunkard`s Path by Kirsten with Inklingo

Kirsten’s Drunkard’s Path Design

Kirsten in Denmark designed this lovely Drunkard’s Path variation for her granddaughter. Kirsten has been an Inklingo quilter from the very beginning in 2006. As Kirsten wrote: “It could not have been done without Inklingo!”

She hand pieced and machine quilted this beautiful bed quilt. (Approx 220 x 160 cm, 86 x 63 inches)

Isn’t it lovely? Kirsten said she really missed Inklingo for the triangle border! Those shapes are not inklingo-able (yet), so she used freezer paper templates à la Quilted Diamonds. Thank you, Kirsten! You are an inspiration.

The Drunkard’s Path Design Book (half price or free, 203 pages) will help you sew a Drunkard’s Path quilt, whether you are following a traditional pattern or designing your own variation. It is an amazing resource for professional pattern designers too.

Love the lines. Quilt more!

This is one of my favorite of the Inklingo collections. I have wanted to make this quilt for a long time but just couldn’t deal with the odd shaped pieces. I despise templates. Inklingo makes it so easy. I am piecing the curved sections by hand and combining the squares by machine. Makes it go together really quickly and accurately!

This is by far my favorite collection! I have more than a dozen quilts designed that use Drunkard’s Path units thanks in part to the ease in which I was able to put together my first Drunkard’s Path project. And I can honestly say that I love machine piecing curves thanks to Inklingo. The cross hairs and hatch marks make it easy to line up your pieces perfectly. If you’ve had a Drunkard’s Path quilt on your to-do list, you’ll want this collection!

This shape has been on my list for a very long time and thanks to Inklingo I can prep it in a few minutes. Another Inklingo friend and I each printed pieces and then swapped shapes. Imagine being in a swap where all the pieces you get back are the same size exactly!! Everything is so accurate and easy to put together..I am not a hand piecer but am enjoying putting these together by hand. Thankyou Linda.

There are so many designs to make with the Drunkard’s Path shapes – and with Inklingo printing them, you’re guaranteed that they’ll go together absolutely perfectly!

Inklingo has made this quilt so easy to make. The gentle curves are great to sew by hand or machine. I have made one quilt with this pattern and plan on making many more. I just love spending time printing these patterns on fabric. There is such a variety of shapes you can make with this pattern. It is lots of fun to play with them. Inklingo is just plain fun.

I just finished printing up my first DP pieces. I am using scraps from my remnants and I was surprised at how easily I can print up small, custom sizes. Every piece precise and perfect – now on to sewing!

I think this is my favorite Inklingo collection of all that I own. I just love the wallhanging that I made and REALLY love how easy it went together. Curved pieces?? No problem. Am now making placemats with my left over blocks. Try it, you’ll love it.

I have never been brave enough to try curved piecing before Inklingo but now I have 16 hand pieced sections done and am addicted to sewing them. They turn out perfect every time. I have 20 sheets ready to cut out and at least that many already cut and waiting to be sewn together. If I can learn it anyone can!!

Nothing beats inklingo for precision piecing even using curves! This is what all quilters have been waiting for; the next revolution after the rotary cutter!
