Key West is a wonderful design to sew by hand or by machine. The shapes are extremely versatile, so you can make dozens of other blocks too.
This design is sometimes called Key West Beauty, Key West Star, and Dakota Star. The earliest reference is in the Ladies Art Company in 1922.
