Can you see why I’ve fallen in love with the new Key West Beauty shape collections?
All of these blocks use 5 simple shapes!
I doubt many quilters would glance at this design and think “Key West Beauty!”
The shapes in Key West are stunningly versatile, so playing with them in Electric Quilt is irresistible.
You do not need EQ for the COTSIM mystery but it is a fun option!
I included Inklingo LeMoyne Stars in this EQ7 project file because 8-pointed stars work so perfectly with the Key West shapes.
You can also use Inklingo Castle Wall with these shapes!
You can play this game too when you DOWNLOAD for EQ7.
This versatility makes Key West Beauty very mysterious for the new Case of the Stranger in Margaritaville quilt, don’t you think?
There are dozens of free EQ project files under the Blog tab (above).
FABRIC FOR COTSIM
Have you chosen the fabric yet? I am excited to see what colors YOU choose.
If you have EQ7, playing with this project file might help you decide.
Please share photos of your fabrics in the albums in the Inklingo IO Group and on the Inklingo Facebook Page. Everyone is looking for inspiration!
This is the perfect time to get the fabric washed and neatly folded and to print a 5 x 5-inch test on the white fabric.
Why and how we test is one of the Top 10 Tutes (under the Blog tab above).
If you only have a fat quarter of the other fabrics, you should wait to see the diagrams in the first clue before you print your test swatch.

Kelly, that sounds like a great idea for a guild to make! Can you imagine this mystery made by 9 or 12 people, then combined into one bed quilt with all the different fabric choices? I’d like to see that!
I’m trying to get people from my guild to join me in this. So far, no luck, but I’m still trying.
Wow look at all those different blocks. I can see I am going to have fun playing with them in EQ7.
