There are many, many ways to use the new Clamshell Rose shape collection shown in Part 1 and Part 2.
This time, I am playing with replacing some of the whole Clamshells with half Clamshells to create new effects.
It’s mind-boggling! LOL
I have rushed myself to post again today before the special low intro price expires tonight at midnight.
I would like to play more with this one. Do you see birds or butterflies?
One of the 20 Inklingo colors will show on the back of almost any dark fabric and there are tips for printing on dark fabric under the Top Ten Tutes tab (above).
A completely different look using the same basic block!
It may be hard to decide on a final design but one thing is for sure. When you print the shapes on fabric with Inklingo, the preparation is faster and the sewing is more precise and more fun!
If you are new to Inklingo, there are step by step instructions and a new VIDEO on the Welcome to Inklingo page on the website.

Oh, Annika! It’s brilliant!
Thank you very much for sharing your technique for drawing Clamshell Rose blocks in Electric Quilt software on the Stof Genoeg blog!

I would probably never have figured this out myself.
Thank you very much for your order, Betsy! I hope you enjoy every stitch.
Thank you, Kelly! I’m glad you like them.
Super pretty!
Just placed my order. too lovely to resist!!
Oh, and thank you Linda, for swamping me with inspiration :-)!! Absolutely brilliant, gorgeous designs! ‘Versatile’ is an understatement for these shape collections!!
Hi Marianne,
I just posted screen recordings on my blog, hopefully showing you how I drafted two of Linda’s Clamshell Rose Variation blocks. http://wp.me/p10wME-YD
I definitely see butterflies in one of those designs – and can just imagine some possibilities with fussy cutting/printing!! All these gorgeous designs with so much curved piecing make me giddy!
Thank you, Driveway Barb!
Thank you, Marcia! I’m glad you like them.
So fabulous, Linda! I can hardly wait to have time to start playing with this collection! LOVE your designs!
These are so lovely! Funny, I assumed the sketches were created using EQ, too! Thanks for all this inspiration, Linda! Oh, and Monkey!
Hmmm, I saw that Annika from Stofgenoeg has drafted them in EQ. Guess i’ll have to ask her how she did it….
Oh no- now I can’t decide which to make!! They are all so wonderful.
I have the same problem, Pamela!
Hi Marianne,
I did not design these quilts in EQ. In fact, I have not even tried to draw Clamshell shapes in EQ yet.
I will see if I can figure something out, but so far the only solution I can see is to use 4 squares bisected with a curve for each clamshell.
Thank you, Toni! I’m glad you like them.
Love these. Makes me wish I was better at using EQ7 so that I could play and design these quilts in it…..But since I am not good at it, I have no idea how to create the shapes in EQ7 to design with….
Lovely. Thank you.
