Join us for the First LIVE Inklingo Video!

Inklingo Live Video

Have you noticed how quiet I have been? I haven’t just been lying around eating chocolate. There’s no room.

Monkey and I are “gearing up” and it’s about to get exciting!

Inklingo Live Video on Facebook

I have 3 tiny cameras set up at my desk for live streaming, so it is possible to get wide, medium and close-up shots and share them with you LIVE on Facebook!

“Live” gives us a new opportunity to connect, inspire and have fun together. I can hardly wait!

Live Inklingo Video

This is where I sit to do email. With this new video technology, you can ask me questions or make suggestions LIVE on Facebook!

Live Inklingo Video

Inklingo is all about making quilting more accessible and I am excited about sharing inspiration this way—from my “office.”

It’s hard to believe it will work when you see this!

“Live” means anything could happen–especially while I am getting used to all this equipment.

Introduction to Inklingo

ARE YOU READY?

Inklingo Live Video will not be a “lesson” like the dozens of videos I have on YouTube and the website, so it is a good idea to watch this short introduction to Inklingo before jumping in at the deep end.

LET’S SPEND SOME TIME TOGETHER

I hope you will be excited about tuning in for the first Live Inklingo Video on FRIDAY DECEMBER 1, 7 PM Eastern Time on Facebook.

Please mark your calendars and tell your friends, so we can all spend some time together!

If you are in Queensland, Australia, LIVE is about 10 AM on Saturday. You can convert 7 PM Eastern Time (EST) to your time zone with the World Time Buddy.

TIME WELL SPENT

I want to make sure our visits feel like Time Well Spent, so I will have two or three examples to get us started—a little Show & Tell—but it will be more spontaneous and looser than a class.

Whether you are looking for inspiration for your tenth Inklingo quilt or confidence to print your first sheet of fabric, let’s do it together.

I hope our time together will be so meaningful and interesting that you will want to watch the video again afterwards too.

WILL YOU BE READY?

While I sort out all these cables, your job is to start thinking of questions and suggestions to share when we are live. Here are a few things to get you started:

  • What day of the week and time of day is easiest for you to watch LIVE?
  • What would you like to know about Inklingo?
  • What would you like to see in a short demonstration?
  • Do you have a photo or story to share? If you email me during the LIVE show, I will be able to share photos with everyone.

ARE YOU SUBSCRIBED?

I hope Live Video on Facebook will be a great opportunity to connect with each other and focus on time to be creative and sew, so if you subscribe to the blog, you will always have some advance notice. (Top of right side-bar.)

MONKEY LOVES PRIZES

Monkey is afraid no one will come, so he says there will be a prize in the first LIVE video. The winner will be chosen from emails and Facebook comments received during the live event. You will hear the details LIVE.

There’s no hiding behind the computer (or hexagon flowers) now. I’m committed.

Please come and bring a drink and some sewing—or popcorn or chocolate. I’m looking forward to seeing you Friday!

  1. I’m excited to “meet” you, Linda! Working on my 2nd La Pass medallion, (though I was on hiatus for summer and fall) and still loving it. See you tomorrow!

  3. Thank you very much for telling your friends, Donna! This could be a great way to spread the word about Inklingo.
By the way, my desk is not very tidy at this moment but I’ll get it straightened out by Friday.
Or I’ll pile all on the floor.
    One or the other.

  4. Thanks for the good wishes, Terry. It is a little nerve-wracking doing anything for the first time (live video, printing on fabric) but we will get through it together.

  5. Hi Karen! Isn’t it amazing that we can connect from Canada to Western Australia LIVE? It is kind of mind-bending. Thank you for letting me know you will be watching with your grandchildren.

  8. I hope you have a fabulous time in Nevada this weekend, Erin. If all goes according to the “plan,” you will be able to watch the video later, if you want. Thank you for the good wishes. I am a little nervous.

  9. This will be pretty loose, Cathi. This first one is a bit of an experiment. We can make adjustments in the future depending on what quilters want. I hope you will join the fun!

  10. I hope all goes well and you will do more live videos. I will have to miss this one on account of Ricky Tim’s Quilt Luminarium being this weekend in Henderson, NV.

  11. This sounds like such fun! I”m sure it will be brilliant – even if there are hiccups as you get used to the new equipment, knowing you this will be fabulously well done.
It will be fun and I’ll be there for sure!
