Inklingo on The Quilt Show

Inklingo on The Quilt Show

As you know, Monkey and I travelled to Texas in August to demonstrate Inklingo on The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims.

Great news! They just sent me a link to the trailer for my show (above), so you can have a sneak peek. (It helps me if you click to “like” the video on YouTube, okay?)

Inklingo on The Quilt Show

Episode 2911 on The Quilt Show on November 21

My show will air for the first time on Sunday, November 21 and then it will be part of TQS’s permanent library of shows. There are more than 300 shows available for members already.

TQS adds 26 shows a year and that is just one of the many benefits of membership of The Quilt Show. They always have a wonderful Block of the Month project and other perks too.

Inklingo on The Quilt Show

I have been a member of TQS from the very first day in 2007 and I know many of you are members too.

It was a real thrill to sit in the control room with the engineers during my visit. There is a huge crew and they work hard to make everyone look their best.

Ricky Tims at The Quilt Show

Ricky Tms on the set. I totally loved meeting him. Wow. He is a very special gentleman and wonderfully professional. He picked up on the advantages of Inklingo instantly.

Shelly Heesacker

The amazing, talented, generous and kind producer, Shelly Heesacker.

I worked with Shelly all summer to plan for the show. I cannot say enough good about her. Everyone at TQS treated us exceptionally well but meeting Shelly might be the very best thing about the whole experience. I hope to meet her again.

WATCH THE QUILT SHOW FREE

TQS has made it easy for you to see my show EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER (yet).

To see my show FREE as a non-member on or after November 21, you can sign up for a free 7-day trial.

During the free trial, go ahead and watch as many of the 300+ shows as you can. I think you will be impressed and decide to be a member, so you have time to watch them all.

The price of a membership is a minuscule $49 per YEAR (not per month). When you consider what we spend on quilting supplies and fabric, it makes sense to spend $49 a year to get insight into our special world of quilting and all the best teachers. It is for beginners and experts, everyone. I have definitely had my money’s worth since 2007.

FREE TRIAL FOR TQS?

I think you will want to be a member like me but you can avoid being charged anything if you remember to cancel before the end of the trial period, okay? You can also join for less than a year, if that fits your budget better but the annual membership is a great deal.

NOTE Be sure NOT to sign up for the free trial before Nov 15 or your trial will not include my show on November 21.

Linda Franz on Simply Quilts 2002

I was on HGTV’s Simply Quilts with Alex in 2002 and she is just as amazing now as she was then. She is a heroine for many of us, and no wonder. She put quilting on the map.

I only had a few minutes to talk about Quilted Diamonds (my first book) in 2002 but this time, Ricky and Alex gave Inklingo the whole show.

An hour of Inklingo and Monkey! Be still, my heart! A dream come true.

INTRODUCTION TO INKLINGO

Ricky and Alex were not familiar with how we print on fabric with our Inkjet printers and Inklingo, so we started with the basics.

Print on fabric with Inklingo

I was able to show the printed lines on the back of the fabric and some of the MANY advantages that gives us.

If you want to explain Inklingo to your friends, Inklingo on The Quilt Show should be a good way to do it. In the meantime, you can also share any of my videos, like the ones on the Main Beginner’s Page.

What did Ricky and Alex think of Monkey?

MONKEY’S TAKE

Monkey had a fabulous time with the whole crew, as you will see in the trailer for Inklingo on The Quilt Show and in each segment of the show. He is very happy to report that I am NOT photogenic. This is a big relief because photogenic means “you don’t look that good in person.” LOL

Monkey thinks I am tall and slim. (Please keep my secret.) He says my episode on TQS is the best one ever (biased) but that I should have worn a pony tail or a hat, like him.

I will be sharing more about my adventures with TQS and what we demonstrated with Ricky and Alex, so please stay tuned.

For now, I hope you will watch the trailer, click to “like” it on YouTube, and mark your calendar. You can comment on YouTube too. (Thank you.) There are also a few recent articles on the blog that you might enjoy while you’re waiting with me for November 21.

I’m very happy that you are an Inklingo quilter. Thank you for visiting today!

  3. Congratulations Linda,

It’s more than time that a quilt show invited you to show how Inklingo is the best! I am so very happy for you. All these years of hard work, to make our quilting easier.

I marked the date on my calendar, would not miss this for anything.

  4. Wow, watching Justin with Monkey was THE BEST part of our breakfast in Paris :-)(and to think it included buttery croissants, pain au cereales from an award winning bakery, Yves Bordier butter and Yves Bordier yoghurt!) Can’t wait to see the whole show!

    • Thank you, Simone! You have been using Inklingo for a LONG time but this should help let more quilters know about what you and I have been doing! I’m glad you are an Inklingoist.

    • Thank you, Donna! YOU have been so supportive all along the way, even back to when I was on Simply Quilts. (I still have the mug too.) The crew at The Quilt Show really got into the whole Monkey story, so it was fun for everyone—-except maybe Justin in the banana costume. LOL
