Rotary Cutting with Inklingo

Today is the first anniversary of the first Inklingo downloadable shape collections! To celebrate, Monkey helped me prepare an amazing little video about rotary cutting with Inklingo.

Rotary Cutting

Rotary Cut Along a Line!

Rotary cutting with Inklingo is precise, simple, and fast compared to traditional methods, so we thought it would be a good thing to illustrate with our new monkey-sized camera.

Monkey appears for a nanosecond in this one, but you can only see my hands because I filmed this wearing a TINY camera on my forehead. I look totally ridiculous with a third eye (five if you count the reading glasses), but we think the subject matter is clear.  I am learning this technique to give you the same view that I have when I am cutting or sewing with Inklingo.

If you like this little video, we will do more, so that by the time we reach the second anniversary of the downloads, there will be a whole collection of Inklingo videos for you to share.

Maybe someday we will even let you see what we look like wearing the foreheadcam.  Maybe.  Monkey did not say a word.  (We all need friends like Monkey.)

Monkey and I enjoy your comments and suggestions, here and in the Yahoo group. Please keep writing!

Thank you for visiting us here.

(PS Foreheadcam broke almost immediately. Oh well.)

  1. That was a great video Linda – I do have difficulty with Rotary cutting – you have inspired me to persist. Please make more videos.
Am off to try again…I look forward to your next one 🙂

  2. Super!!! I loved watching this video. I hope you will create more in the future. I’d love to see you with a headcam on! I always wondered how the filming was accomplished. Thanks Linda, your the greatest.

  3. Love the new video Linda and the forehead cam is perfect to give us your view with out someone having to stand behind you…and over your shoulders.
    Hugs to Monkey too!

  4. I love the new MonkeyCam! Who knew cutting Inklingo shapes could be so easy? I am picturing Monkey sitting on top of your head with his movie-star sunglasses and megaphone, directing every shot of this incredible video! Very cool! And may I say, very Cutting Edge!

Keep ’em coming, Linda… er, Monkey!

  5. Linda, that was a good video….was monkey holding the camera? lol It really was clear…and always seeing these type videos always refreshes the way it should be done, and just how easy and fast it really is. I enjoyed it very much. Hugs Morgan

  6. I have visions of you with your camera mounted on your forehead — but whatever it looks like, it makes for a great little video! This has inspired me to try some rotary cutting of shapes!
