The clamshell is a classic quilt shape with endless design possibilities. Variations of this design appear in quilts from many eras, and it continues to inspire quilters today.
I was inspired by historic clamshell quilts in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (V&A), documented in well-known quilt history books.
Sewing with Inklingo is more fun because everything fits perfectly, presses well, and lies flat. Clamshell is a wonderful tessellation.
NOTE Clamshell 2.5-inch is small. If you intend to sew by machine, you will probably prefer a larger size.
