There is a new Inklingo shape collection with large Passacaglia templates.
LARGE PASSACAGLIA TEMPLATES FROM INKLINGO
The shapes for Passacaglia have been available for a long time in the original size (3 cm) and one larger size but Inklingo quilters asked for even bigger shapes! Main Millefiori Page
No wonder. The design on the cover of Willyne Hammerstein’s Millefiori Quilts (first book) is exquisite. We never get tired of it.
The new shapes have 2 inch sides and are great for anyone who wants to fussy cut large designs or who wants to sew by machine.
INKLINGO PASSACAGLIA ROSETTES IN 3 SIZES
I also included 3 bonus shapes this time.
You can use the two bonus shapes (left) to replace the 5-pointed star at the center of the rosettes. I like being able to give you a choice, so you can customize it.
If you are looking for even more fussy cutting opportunities, the bonus shape (left) can be used to replace this 5-pointed star too.
Isn’t it nice to have a choice?
HOW TO FUSSY CUT WITH INKLINGO
This larger size is perfect for fussy cutting, especially when fabrics have large designs.
I hope you have seen the video for fussy cutting shapes for Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses (Main Lucy Boston Page). It works the same way for Passacaglia.
UPDATE I included very detailed instructions for two methods of fussy cutting in the new hardcover book, Winding Ways – Quilting the Inklingo Way. All of the info about fussy cutting, hand and machine piecing, and fabric requirements in my new book is useful for ANY pieced design.
I recommend it to everyone, so I hope you will have a look.
Main Beginner’s Page. As usual, if you are new to printing on fabric, I recommend starting with the free shape collection for Diamond Triangle Square.

I also included a lot of good info on the Millefiori Page in the Index of Shapes under the Support & Goodies tab.
All 4 of Willyne’s magnificent books are in stock.

I have more to share about machine piecing these shapes, so please stay tuned. Stay well, and keep printing and sewing!
Thank you for visiting.

Any chance that the 3 bonus shapes could be created for those of us who already own the 1.5 in set. It has always been my preference for the 1.5 in size since that was the size of the Texas star quilt that I made in the late 80’s. I had to trace around all the templates by hand but was so delighted that it was available in Inklingo later.
Hi Judy, If there are enough requests for it, I will do an “add-on” shape collection in the 1.5 inch size. I am pleased that you are interested. Stay well.
Sorry to hear you have a problem with your hands and no sewing machine for a month.
I am intrigued with the new size for pass.
Hi Lisa, I think you will love this new size. We have to count our blessings while we sew, waiting for Louise to catch up.
This is beautiful I don’t no how to describe it three D maybe it pops.
Three D is a good description. I’m glad you like it, Brenda. Thank you for letting me know.
Hope you are well ? Well here we are with more choices to create beautiful quilts. Not much quilting going on for me my hands are so sore. And to top it all my sewing machine is in the shop for at least 1 month if not more. So I am going to take it easy and get back to sewing when I can. Have a great day tomorrow. Thank you for the new sizes.
Oh Louise, I am sorry your hands are sore. I hope you will be sewing with us again soon. Take care.
Looks very interesting, hope I can win this challenge, looks very difficult, but after reading the reviews, I am going to give it the ole college try.
Hi Laura, I think you will find it easier than you expect if you start here: https://www.inklingo.com/shop/beginners/3 Of course, if you have questions I am happy to help. Linda @ http://www.inklingo.com
