Is everyone printing and cutting Curvy Hexie shapes today? I am.
This is another worksheet in the new Curvy Hexie Star shape collections. It uses the bonus shape.
Freezer paper and fabric cut 5.5 x 10 gives me 3 perfect shapes.

Have you tried rotary cutting curves? It is easier than I ever imaged.
In fact, I was surprised. It is easier and faster and more accurate than cutting with a plastic template OR scissors!
When you have a line to cut on and a line to sew on, you can love curves.

Just in case you need some convincing, there is a short video with my best tips for rotary cutting curves.
This technique works for Cleopatra’s Fan and any of the Inklingo shape collections on the Main Shapes with Curves Page on the website. (You are on the blog now.)
You have a choice of 4 sizes and the largest ones can be sewn by machine, if you prefer.

Good luck with these two quilts, Patrick! See you again soon, I hope.
Thank you, Donna! I love the way all the shape collections work together too.
Great demonstration. I wish I could have the time to do those but I’m in the middle of 2 quilts right now but I will come back again.
Thanks
Just when you think you know everything about sewing hexagons, along comes a collection that blows that theory away! These look like stars, tumbling blocks, and – dare I say – Storm at Sea, but mixable with other hexagon shapes.
Amazing! Time to mix and match!
Thanks Linda!
