YES! Inklingo works with any ordinary Inkjet printer or all-in-one.
You don't have to buy a special printer or ink. Use what you have.

Inklingo PDF Downloads
YES! The downloads work on Windows or Mac.
DIFFERENT The downloads only open with Adobe Reader, not other PDF viewers.
The copy protection makes them different from other PDF files.
Most quilters already have Adobe Reader (free, easy to get from adobe.com).
Requirements for Downloads
- Windows with Adobe Reader 7 or newer.
- Mac with Adobe Reader 7 or newer.
- Inklingo will not open on an iPad. (Maybe some day)
Inklingo will not open in Mac Preview.
Please download Adobe Reader from adobe.com (free).
Opening Inklingo PDFs is simple.
The most common errors are:
- Clicking "open" instead of "save."
The PDF must be saved on your hard drive.
Otherwise, it will try to open in your browser, instead of Adobe Reader.
This is explained in the download instructions (under the Support tab).
- Trying to open in Mac Preview, which doesn't work.
This is a common problem because Mac Preview looks similar to Adobe Reader. We recommend opening Adobe Reader first and using File > Open. If you just by click on the file name outside of Adobe Reader, Mac Preview wants to take over, and that causes frustration.
Inklingo CDs
Eventually, the Inklingo CDs will be obsolete. (Remember VHS tapes and floppy disks?) As of March 2013, Inklingo # 1, # 2, and # 3 will open with Windows 7.
Windows only! The first Inklingo Shape Collections in 2006 and 2007 were on CD. They do NOT work on Mac unless you have Windows too.
CD #1 and #2 only open with the version of Adobe Reader which is included on the CD. Please follow the instructions in the case.
Windows 7 I was informed by the software engineer that the early CDs will not work on Windows 7, but quilters have been successful opening them anyway by ignoring dialog boxes which warn about compatibility. Go quilters! You rock!

Inklingo # 3 CD
This CD will open in Windows 7 and Windows 8 if you open with the version of Adobe Reader provided on the CD and not the version on your computer (Adobe Reader X or XI). It is necessary to ignore the compatibilty warnings.
1. Close Adobe Reader if it is open already.
2. Insert the CD.
3. Choose Run LAUNCH.exe.
This dialog box should show on top of other open windows, but keep an eye on your task bar (bottom of the screen) to see if an icon is flashing there waiting for a response.
4. Choose Yes.
This will open the older version of Adobe Reader which is included on the CD.

5. Choose Run Program.
This dialog box should show on top of other open windows, but keep an eye on your task bar (bottom of the screen) to see if an icon is flashing there waiting for a response.
6. Wait.
The PDF file is very large and it may take up to 2 minutes to open with a slow CD drive. (This is not common.) The password will load automatically.
