Perfect! This is ideal for Inklingo friends who already have the Inklingo Double Wedding Ring Shape Collection PDF.
Option 2 A stand-alone Pickle Dish
Perfect! This is ideal for Inklingo friends who just want to make a Pickle Dish Quilt, and don’t need the shapes for all the different arcs and options in the DWR shape collection.
We hope that makes everyone happy.
It looks as if each Pickle Dish arc is made of three different triangles, but they aren’t triangles—because one side of each has a slight curve.
When you print shapes on fabric with Inklingo, you have perfect cutting and stitching lines, and no need for acrylic or paper templates. (Why I don’t sell acrylic templates.)
The curves are easy with a rotary cutter, but you can use scissors if you prefer.
As if that is not enough choice, an updated and revised Inklingo Double Wedding Ring Design Book (free) will be published at the same time, and it gives you a choice of methods.
Sew Pickle Dish Quilt Designs by Hand
Pickle Dish arcs are ideal for hand piecing, because you can sew from crosshair to crosshair, turn a corner at the end of each seam, and keep going, without breaking the thread.
This is “continuous stitching” and it is very relaxing, portable, and accurate. We love continuous stitching, thanks to the precise stitching lines, matching marks, and crosshairs printed on the fabric with Inklingo.

Sew Pickle Dish Quilt Designs by Machine
Other quilters prefer to machine piece the arcs.
You can organize all of the shapes beside the sewing machine, and chain piece from edge to edge. It is fast and efficient.
Inklingo Hybrid Piecing (Hand + Machine)
Some of us like to hand piece the arcs because they are so relaxing and portable, but then assemble the quilt top by machine, using Inklingo’s correct curves and matching marks. We call it hybrid piecing, and it is our favorite.
Paper Piecing by Machine
Even though Monkey and I don’t understand sewing backward in a nest of unusable scraps, and prefer to sew fabric, not paper, we understand that some quilters like paper piecing.
The new Pickle Dish collections include a paper template so you can print Pickle Dish arcs for foundation piecing, using your favorite method.

What a fabulous collecetion — either just Pickle Dish or as an add-on for those who already have the DWR collection!! I’m really looking forward to printing and stitching a red and white pickle dish. Those wonderful triangles will be such fun to stitch!
