You can make dozens of Pieced Hexagon designs with this ONE shape collection—and many, many more if you also have the 1 inch Hexagons shape collection. (Video tab)

Use a running stitch instead of English Paper Piecing (EPP). It’s more portable, more fun, more precise, and faster. On the other hand, there are 8 Good Ways to Use Inklingo for English Paper Piecing if that is the method you prefer.

Use these shapes with any pattern. The one-inch diamond is compatible with Monkey Exercise # 1, but you should use the Suggested Custom Page sizes in the shape collection, instead of the ones in the pattern. (The original layout for diamonds on the Shape Collection # 1 CD were modified for the downloadable version.)

Making stars with these shapes is easy beyond belief. The stars are perfect every time thanks to the stitching lines and matching points.

  2. Kari L (verified owner)

I could spend hours (and actually have!) stitching together stars. They go together so easily and the precision that Inklingo has easily translates to your stitching. Awesome!

An easy way to do the 10000 triangle quilt!

The 1.0 inch Diamond collection is wonderful. I have used it to make several small quilts (one of which got an award at the show where it was displayed.)
The stars and blocks and other shapes will lay flat with no problems. Great for machine or hand stitching.
With the match points and crosshairs at the seam intersections the “Y” seams are not a problem at all.
    A fun, fun collection.
