New Inklingo Clamshell Sizes

Inklingo Print clamshells on charms

YES!

There are 4 new Clamshell shape collections today!

Clamshell quilt

There are many quilters who love sewing curves, thanks to Inklingo!

When you print the cutting and stitching lines AND the matching marks on the fabric, sewing curves is more fun than ever before.

Inklingo Clamshell templates

Quilters requested 4 and 6 inch Clamshells. They can be sewn by hand or by machine.

I also added 2 and 2.5 inch sizes because some Inklingo quilters are addicted to miniatures. No matter what shapes I introduce, someone always asks for smaller. LOL

The little ones are fun to hand piece. (I have not tried to machine piece the 2.5 inch ones!)

Clamshells for a portable project!

I have a project on the go—literally! I was sewing in the shade of the porch on Labor Day.

4 inch Clamshells fit on a 5 x 5 inch charm! Irresistible!

I’ve been looking for a great way to use a selection of pretty Moda charms. Clamshells are perfect.

Sew clamshells by machine

I think you will love sewing the 4 and 6 inch Clamshells whether you sew by hand or by machine.

The new shape collections have been added on the Main Clamshell Page (under the Shop tab).

The special introductory sale price is only $10—but only if you buy before midnight on September 15, okay?

  1. Please show us how to print clam shells using Charm squares.
I was wondering if I could iron freezer paper having placed, say 4 or 6 squares of different fabrics on the 1 page?
    Sorry if this sounds naff.

    • Hi Rosalind,
I don’t place several squares on one sheet of freezer paper. I took a lot of photos while I was printing clamshells on charms and I am planning to share them here on the blog and on the Inklingo Facebook page too. I’m pleased you are interested.

  3. Hi Linda, I love the new sizes of Clamshells, especially the 4″ that can be used on Charm Squares. would you do a short tutorial on how you print these on the Charms?

    Warm regards,

  4. Wow! Clamshells are the perfect Inklingo collection for the end of the summer! I remember the last time I vacationed on Myrtle Beach in 1989, just at this time of year too. I spent many happy hours walking the beach and collecting actual clam shells in Piggly-Wiggly bags. (They are still in the bags by the way, with sand on them too.) I think I’ll get more use out of this collection than the actual shells! LOL! Great price btw!
    Thanks Linda!

  5. I forgot! There are two more from the SSIB that I constantly look at as they are very, very striking and those two are: Indian Summer and Trenton Quilt Block. Either or those in a 9″ size would be very, very fun to stitch!

  6. These are irresistible! While I am one of those people who love the miniatures and will find the tiny ones impossible to resist, I have a collection of charms that are just perfect for the 4″ clamshell as well! So many choices!
I would love to see Maru Bishamon as I think it would be a fabulous project with lots and lots of curved piecing. Or Ribbon Flower – the 12″ size. I spend all sorts of time looking at the Inklingo SSIB and those two always jump out at me as being so, so striking!
