1. INKLINGO LESSONS ON THE BLOG The All About Inklingo blog is a valuable resource for any Inklingo design. Articles for Judy Martin's Waltzing Matilda: Please see the All About Inklingo blog for my best tips and design ideas. Subscribe so you don't miss anything! We can all share fabric choices, blocks, tips and ideas on Facebook—and your blog too. IMPORTANT If you are new to Inklingo, I recommend starting with the FREE Diamond Triangle Square shape collection.
It includes the first chapter of The Inklingo Handbook. With that and the Top Ten Tutes on the blog, you will be an expert in no time! 2. ALL THE USUAL ADVANTAGES OF INKLINGO
Faster preparation, no measuring, no templates, perfect straight grain, efficient use of fabric, exciting designs.
You can use a rotary cutter to cut several layers at a time (fast) or use scissors (portable). Just cut on the lines.
3. COMBO LAYOUTS
Combo layouts allow you to print all of the shapes for one fabric at once. Inklingo quilters love them!
Monkey insisted on THREE combos this time!

4. ENDLESS VARIATION FOR INSPIRATION
Every block includes the same shapes but I think we can surprise you with the variations, especially with the bonus shapes! Please see the blog and Facebook for more examples!

5. BONUS SHAPES AND APPLIQUÉ DESIGN
This is exciting! The bonus triangles make even more star variations. I named my favorite "Waltzing Judy" in honor of Judy and her creativity.
There is also a bonus heart to appliqué on the center octagon. If you haven't tried back-basting appliqué yet, let us introduce you! Please see a brief intro to back-basting on Quilting Hub.

6. CHOICE OF SIZES
The 3 sizes can be combined to make some fabulous settings. (See what we did with Drunkard's Path and Winding Ways!) If you follow the All About Inklingo blog, you will be the first to see some sparkling star settings.
7. FUSSY CUTTING Judy Martin's Waltzing Matilda is a quick and easy star block for machine piecing. There are TWO methods of fussy cutting Waltzing Matilda and Waltzing Judy with Inklingo—traditional templates (Swiss cheese method) and "No Waste Fussy Cutting.
