Jo-Anne's fabulous Passacaglia was sewn by hand and then beautifully machine quilted. It is a masterpiece. If you are lucky, you can see it at the quilt show at the ARCC Hall in Wagga Wagga NSW, Australia between October 30 and November 1, 2015. 1. Unusual & Beautiful Designs Every one of Willyne's designs in Millefiori Quilts is exceptional! With Millefioiri Quilt Templates from Inklingo, you can start AND finish Willyne's elaborate designs in a reasonable amount of time. 
2. Simple to Decide How Much Fabric There are diagrams in every shape collection which show how many shapes you can cut from a yard of fabric. 3. Easy to Cut No measuring. No templates. Use a rotary cutter or scissors—and there are stitching lines and matching marks printed on every shape! 
4. You can sew with a Running Stitch or by Machine Sew with a running stitch instead of whip-stitching over templates with English Paper Piecing! It is more portable, more fun, more precise, and faster! And the stitches don't show on the front! If you want to sew any of Willyne's designs by machine, choose the larger sizes. When you buy passacaglia quilt templates from Inklingo, I manually add the Hexagon Quilt Design Book ($20 value, PDF download). The design book focuses on 60 degree hexagons but the sewing and pressing instructions apply to the shapes in Passacaglia too. (Details) Sewing the pentagons and diamonds in Passacaglia is similar to sewing hexagons, so you can follow those instructions for continuous stitching by hand, precision machine piecing, and combining hand and machine piecing (hybrid piecing) for the best of both worlds—speed and portability.

Whether you use Inklingo or not, you do not need acrylic templates for any of Willyne's designs, just the book, a bit of freezer paper, and your favorite fabrics. Getting started is easy! It is also less expensive than English Paper Piecing. 6. Print scraps and Jelly Rolls Monkey shows you how to print on Jelly Rolls on the All About Inklingo blog. . 
7. Sew Insets by Machine A new video on the blog gives my best tips for sewing hexagons (or any inset seams!) by machine. You can do it!

8. A choice of sizes. The shapes in Willyne's original Passacaglia have 3 cm sides. Shapes with 1.5 inch or 2 inch sides are larger and easier to sew by machine. This diagram shows the size comparison for one of the rosettes. When you follow the instructions in Willyne's Millefiori Quilts book, you will see that some of the rosettes have a different number of rings. Size of center without borders:
