Sharon Burgess’ Celestial Star with Inklingo!

Sharon Burgess' Quilting on the Go

Sharon Burgess’ Quilting on the Go is a beautiful new book, jam-packed with 16 stunning projects.

You need it.

Sharon Burgess Lilabelle Lane

Sharon is an amazing Australian designer and the genius behind Lilabelle Lane Creations.

I have to ask her who did the photography for her book because it is luscious! This is one of the prettiest quilt books I have seen in years, and every project is intriguing.

I want to thank the quilters who wrote to me and asked for her lovely designs to be Inklingo-able. When I saw the book, I knew they were right. I wrote to Sharon . . . and the stars aligned!

One thing led to another and today we are both blogging with the news!

Celestial Star by Sharon Burgess

No wonder quilters asked for these shapes!

Over the top. Divine. Heavenly. Celestial.

Print on fabric, print on paper

Sharon said yes to Inklingo, so now everyone can make this stellar design.

Thank you, Sharon! This is going to make many quilters very happy!

The book is a must. Sharon included fresh interpretations of hexagons and diamonds and clamshells (many of which you can make with Inklingo) but she created a whole new constellation of shapes for Celestial Star.

The shapes are out of this world! (Monkey says, that’s ‘celestial’, eh.)

Celestial Star in 3 new Inklingo shape collections

I like Celestial Star so much that I prepared THREE sizes for you. At least one of them is sure to be just right (heavenly) for everyone. They are described in detail on the website.

Introduction to Inklingo

If you are new to Inklingo, this VIDEO on the Welcome to Inklingo page on the website explains how to print on fabric (or paper) with your ordinary Inkjet printer. (You are welcome to share the video on your own site too.)

Now that you have met Sharon, I think you are going to want to stay in touch and get to know her better!

And more on my site:

Are you subscribed? There is more coming!

I have more to say about Celestial Star, fussy cutting (of course), and Sharon’s beautiful book, so please subscribe (top of right side-bar). That way, you won’t miss anything.

SPECIAL INTRO PRICE

As usual, the shape collections and book are on sale at a super-low price for a few days only.

Please donate to the Red Cross

DONATING TO THE RED CROSS

I also want to remind you that if you donate at least $15 to the American Red Cross between September 3 and September 10 and let me know (linda @ www.inklingo.com), I will give you the new Clamshell Edges 3.5 inch shape collection, FREE.

I think now you can see why I have been quiet lately and why I could hardly wait to share the news.

Now Sharon and I have to wait to see what you do with all these new shapes!

  1. I’ve added the book to my wishlist (I bet it’s a short visit from there to the cart!) and have signed up for the newsletter. I love hand-piecing, especially at the end of a workday when the last thing I want to do is sit at the machine. The only EPP I’ve done so far are hexagons (addictive!), but I would love to get the book and then buy some Inklingo shapes to expand my inspiration. I’ve been printing my own shapes on fabric for years (especially for foundation piecing) but all manually (and not always successfully…ha!). Inklingo looks so fun! I’d love to win Sharon’s Kona fabric as part of a kick-start to new methods. Good luck, all!!
