I love love love the way my blocks are turning out for Bonnie Hunter’s Celtic Solstice but I am sewing CS by machine and that is not very sociable on a Sunday night date, is it?
So. . . .
. . . . I took a break from the machine to relax with my Kaleidoscope Stars and a needle and thread. (You can click on the photo for a larger view.)
I have been making steady progress because I can pick it up any time I have a few minutes to relax. Hand sewing is perfectly acceptable when we are watching TV together. I think he likes it.
It is nice to have a hand project and a machine project on the go at the same time.
You might recognize the green hexagon fabric. It is Cabbage in my Celtic Solstice. It is so soft and silky that I am using it for both Celtic Solstice and Kaleidoscope Stars.
ARE YOU READY FOR CELTIC SOLSTICE?
I think even long-time Inklingo quilters might be surprised by the way the Celtic Solstice shapes go together by machine, thanks to the precise lines printed on the fabric. I can hardly wait to show you!
Inklingo has all of the usual advantages—plus a few unexpected ones.
Even Monkey was surprised, but everyone else has to wait until the 29th. We’ll try to keep you busy in the meantime.
Since everyone is so impatient to start, I have been encouraging quilters to visit the Inklingo Quick Start page and Bonnie Hunter’s Celtic Solstice with Inklingo – Intro to see my fabric choices.
I find Inklingo a lot easier to understand than Facebook LOL, but maybe some of you can bridge the gap over there. I hope you will let them know you don’t have to be a computer geek to love using Inklingo!
We have workers doing a renovation to the outside of the house. It is almost 50F (10C) and the sun is shining.
Bang bang goes the hammer. If I have trouble concentrating at the computer, I might even sit by a window to sew a few more rows of hexagons!

The Kaleidoscope stars project is looking lovely and I continue to love your fabrics/colors.
I, too, am excited for the Celtic Solstice project to begin. I am planning things in my mind and using my laptop to print your informational pages, but unfortunately I am still stuck downstairs recuperating from my back surgery, so can’t get upstairs to the sewing room to pull fabrics for the project. Hopefully I will be well enough in a week or so to do so. Until then, I just keep things going around in my mind. I like the fabrics you have chosen for your Celtic project.
