Even More Hexagons to Print on Fabric

I found them!

I started an Inklingo shape collection for 5/8 inch hexagons (0.625 inch)  a long time ago and everything was still on my old hard drive.

They are ready for you now. Whew!

When I was sewing my flowers, I was surprised how much bigger these are than 0.5 inch hexagons—and how much smaller than 0.75 inch hexagons.

Just Right?

This size might be just right—not too big, not too small—for your fabric, especially if you are fussy cutting (fussy printing). (See the “Top Ten Tutes” tab for a tutorial on fussy cutting.)

It is even more dramatic when they are sewn into flowers.

Monkey says geometry is weird. How can 1/8 of an inch make so much difference?

Hexagons are always named by the length of a finished side. You can see all of the sizes in the Index of Shapes.

As usual, the related shapes are included in the Shape Collection.

As usual, the new shape collection is on sale at a very low price for a few days only.

FREE Design Book

As usual, when you buy the shapes to print on fabric, the design book is free—even when you buy the shapes on sale!

The scale of the print in Northcott Belle Provence is perfect for this size, don’t you think?

Just in case you need a reminder, we have a list of reasons why quilters love Inklingo hexagons, including video.

Whether you follow a pattern or design your own hexagon quilt in Electric Quilt, we think you will love this size.

More to come. . .

When you asked for 5/8 inch hexagons (0.625 inch), it was lucky that I found my original files. Good news! I also found some other very cool “almost finished” shape collections. Some unusual shapes.

There were some major interruptions to my work in 2011 and early this year.  I had forgotten about some of these shapes! I stumbled on some treasure.

Stay tuned for more good stuff, okay?

  1. Use to draw my quarter in. seam on my fabric with a marker. They were never the way they should be when I finished and it took more time than it did to make a quilt…thanks for Inklingo now they are now perfect and look at the time it saved plus fabric.

  5. Oh the 5/8 inch looks like it should be much easier to work with than those tiny 1/2 inch ones. Thanks for letting us know about them.
