Fussy Cut Pine Cone with Inklingo

There are so many great opportunities to fussy cut Pine Cone quilt blocks!

Fussy Cut Pine Cone

Since Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses (2009), many quilters have become fanatical about fussy cutting!

No wonder.

Pine Cone offers great opportunities for fussy cutting!

Use freezer paper templates

HOW TO FUSSY CUT PINE CONE WITH INKLINGO

I use window templates made with freezer paper to preview the fabric.

UPDATE  I included very detailed instructions for two methods of fussy cutting in the new hardcover book, Winding Ways – Quilting the Inklingo Way. All of the info about fussy cutting, hand and machine piecing, and fabric requirements in my new book is useful for ANY pieced design. I hope you will have a look.

This short video is a quick review of Inklingo fussy cutting. The example is Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses but the same method works beautifully for Pine Cone.

Another useful link is Why I don`t sell acrylic templates. They are not as good for fussy cutting as freezer paper.
